page documents with a wider flexibility of layout and greater
control over presentation than is available using HTML. Documents in
this format can easily be distributed and printed without first
visiting every page as would be necessary with HTML.

can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe WWW site. It is
available for a wide range of platforms.
