Burlington Harbor Breakwater Funded for Repair
wpe74543.gif (23779 bytes)
Burlington water front during the high water conditions in the spring of 1996. The breakwater was completely submerged for several weeks. This funding should keep this from becoming the low water picture of Burlington Harbor.

as reported in "Casin' The Basin"

The City of Burlington, Vermont was recently appropriated $875,000 throughout the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to repair its deteriorating breakwater. The 4,157 foot long structure spans Burlington Harbor and was completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1890
