American and World Champions Moved to Montreal
The 1999 Gold Cup
Regatta has moved to a site near Montreal, Canada in
Pointe Claire, Quebec, on Lac Ste Louis. The site is
approximately three miles East of where the 1995
Gold Cup was held in Beaconsfield.
If your interested in
watching some of the action, take Route 20 to the
Cartier Ave Exit in Pointe Claire.
The flag raising
ceremony will be held on Saturday February 20, at
1500 with the first race starts at 1000 Sunday
morning.
Just in case it
snows, Trenton, Ontario, three hours West, is being
considered as an alternate site. Lac de Chen in
Ottawa, Ontario, 1.5 hours Northwest, is another
alternate.
The Regatta hotline:
802 985-1469 is the official source for information.
