Champlain Transportation — Transient Dock Update
Burlington, VT
- The docks will be rented by the hour, or by the day, depending
on the length of stay. The rate will be reasonable and inline with the general market.
- The dock is designed to accommodate boats 20-35 feet in
length. Two boats could accommodate a space normally occupied by one larger boat.
- Boats will dock overnight
- The Burlington Planning Commission and the Burlington Harbor
Commission have approved the docks.
- Some minor changes to the piling configuration are planned to
provide protection to the dock system.
- LCT is requesting permission to expand their gas dock. This
would reduce the frustration level of boats waiting to buy fuel. This area is very
congested and a larger dock would enable LCT to provide better service.
